Dead Man's Finger - Coduim
Dead Mans Fingers (Codium isthmocladum). This is one of several species of Codium found in warm tropical waters of the Southeast United States and Caribbean.Codium isthmocladum grows erect, up to 10 inches tall, forming a bushy, dichotomously branched, light to dark green plant body. The branches are cyclindrical and range in diameter from 1/8 to nearly 1/2 inch. A rhizoidal hold fast anchors the plant to the substratum. All plants shipped will have a rock or shell for a hold fast. This is considered a very hardy aquarium specimen. It is found in waters ranging from 2 to 200 feet deep. The aquarium lighting requirements are natural spectrum and moderate to high intensity. The size of plants shipped will be between 6 and 10 inches in height. The multiple branching frons make this a very attractive addition to the natural marine aquarium.
