Aquarium Installation & Maintenance

Something Fishy is proud to offer our professional aquarium services
in the Greater Lehigh Valley Area.

We have been designing, installing and maintaining saltwater aquariums
for over 15 years, and would be happy to consult with you on your project!

Design & Installation
If you are considering a saltwater aquarium for your office or home, give us a call!  We will arrange a time to meet with you at our store, where we can show you many different aquarium options, listen to your thoughts and ideas, and compose a plan and quote for your spectacular new display.

We will help you every step of the way - from initial planning and equipment selection - to on-site installation by Something Fishy's own fully-insured aquarium professionals.  We will deliver your new aquarium and matching furniture at a time that is convenient for you.  All equipment and plumbing will be assembled and tested.  Next, we will aquascape your new aquarium with bright, natural substrate and colorful Live Rock - being sure to leave plenty of open space for your fish to swim, and for later placement of live coral if you so desire.  Synthetic coral may also be added at this time.  Purified saltwater will then be added.  No installation is complete without thorough clean-up of your space, leaving your home or office in the condition in which it was found.

Selection of Fish, Invertebrates and Live Coral
Something Fishy boasts the best selection of healthy Saltwater Fish, Invertebrates and Live Coral in Eastern PA!  And our service doesn't stop after the installation of your aquatic showpiece.  The saltwater experts here are ready to help design a colorful, harmonious blend of fish and exotic ocean inhabitants from all over the world.  Visit our store and choose the creatures that capture your eye, or let us cherry-pick the best for you!  We can deliver and acclimate the specimens to your system, allowing you to relax & enjoy your display.

Routine Maintenance Services
We know you are busy.  We understand that you don't always have time to attend to your aquarium and make routine water exchanges.  Let us help you.  We don't require long-term service contracts or commitments!

Most commercial accounts are serviced weekly.  Many of our residential clients have us visit monthly.  Others are able to manage routine cleanings, but request our service quarterly, for preventive maintenance on their lighting and filtration systems.  Tell us how often you'd like us to visit, and we'll set up an appointment time that is convenient for you!

Are you a Do-It-Yourselfer?
Great, so are we!  If you're new to the hobby and would like to learn the techniques to correctly maintain your new aquarium on your own  - then you've come to the right place.

Many of our customers ask us to make two or three training visits during the first several months.  On the first visit, you can watch us perform a water change, clean the glass and filters, and test the water - and we explain everything as we go.  On the second and third visits, we can check the water parameters, help with your water exchange, and show you how to perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on your pumps, lights, and other equipment.  By this time, you will have the skills necessary to handle the cleaning and upkeep of your aquarium all on your own.  Of course, we're always here to help you if the need arises, or if you simply would like a break over the Summer or during the busy Holiday Season!
